Return of Goods Policy / Refunds & Exchanges
We hope you are happy with your purchase from Hicken Lighting, but should you wish to return an item*, we are happy to provide a full refund or exchange within 14 days.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, if you buy online or by phone, you may return or exchange goods within 14 working days of delivery. The product must be unused and be in its original packaging, and you must contact us for approval to return the product – please email sales@hickenlighting.com stating which item you wish to return, the reason for which you are returning the item, and the action you would like us to take.
Returns are at the customers’ own expense. We advise you use an insured, signed for service. However, if Hicken Lighting is at fault, we will cover the cost of the return. We can also offer a collection service, at a small charge, if you want to return your order. Our Irish delivery partner is DPD, meaning your delivery is trackable at all stages.
All returned products will be credited to the original purchaser’s credit or debit card, excluding delivery costs, within 7 working days.
The product you return must be in new, unused, condition with all the original packaging and product tags still attached. New and unused means, that there are no marks on the item or packaging. We are unable to accept any item with any indication that it was used.
All goods supplied by Hicken Lighting are covered by a manufactures warranty. If an item has failed, please contact us with the details of the product and the fault.
Returns procedure for goods that are faulty / damaged or incorrectly supplied

If you are returning your Goods because they are damaged / faulty or have been incorrectly supplied by us, no collection fee will be charged.

Shipping and Delivery
1. General
Subject to stock availability delivery time varies from 5-6 working days, to up to 2-3 weeks. For special order items, the lead time will be longer and our sales team can liaise with you directly to advise. From time-to-time, there may be items that are out of stock with our suppliers, and we will not be able to fulfil all your items at the time of purchase. In this instance, we will send the available products to you, and contact you about whether you would prefer to await restocking of the back ordered item or if you would prefer for us to process a refund.
Orders are picked from Monday to Friday only.
If the item(s) is(are) not in stock please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
We will always do our best to deliver before the expected delivery date.
You will receive an email when your order has been dispatched, which will provide an expected delivery date. Upon receipt of your order, you will be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. Always check your item before signing, particularly if the package does not appear to be in good condition. If you are unable to check the contents of your delivery at the point of delivery then please sign for the parcel as ‘Unchecked’. Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims you make thereafter.
You have 14 working days from receipt of goods to request a return on any items from your order. The items must be unused and in original packaging. To report any damages, please do so within 48 hours from receipt of goods. We advise our customers to check all items immediately after receiving delivery. Claims for unwanted or damaged goods cannot be accepted outside this period.

Shipping is Free within Ireland on orders over €100
UK shipping costs: €18
Continental Europe shipping costs: €25.00
If your location is outside of Europe, please contact us to place an order for you. Delivery rates for Worldwide shipping may vary due to weight and location.
